Mary Rudd writes…

“At the age of 17, I started work at the RSPCA Animal Home in Norwich. This lead to all sorts of experiences involving all types of animals, some as you can imagine not so good.

I have always kept many animals of my own and given them as near to a natural life as I can. All the cats which I have given a home to, have come from homes where their owner could no longer look after them.

I am now in my 45th year of animal welfare work and have run my cattery (originally designed by myself) for 30 years. I take great delight in boarding many different breeds of cat.

I feel I have been so lucky to have been able to look after so many different cats (young and old, well and not so well) and I hope to continue for as long as I can.”
